Stillway uses AVAudioSession category Ambient/Playback so it plays even when the silent switch is on, but system volume may be muted. Check the volume slider inside Stillway or use your hardware volume buttons.
Yes, 100%. All 24 master audio field recordings and the real-time neural binaural synthesizer are stored locally inside the application. You can use Stillway on flights, deep subways, or off-grid retreats without any cell reception or Wi-Fi.
Yes. True binaural beats operate by feeding two slightly different frequencies to the left and right ear independently (for example, 200 Hz in one ear and 206 Hz in the other to create a 6 Hz Theta brainwave entrainment). For binaural benefits, stereo headphones or AirPods are required.
Stillway processes location and transit visits strictly on-device using Apple's local CoreLocation and CoreMotion APIs. We do not maintain any cloud servers, user accounts, or telemetry trackers. Your home, commute, and work coordinates never leave your iPhone.
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top left of Stillway. Under the "Language" section, you can instantly toggle between English, Japanese (日本語), Turkish (Türkçe), and French (Français) with zero app restarts.
